About

In this ongoing series of mixed-media works on paper, I bring together dissimilar photographic fragments to form collages that feel as though they have always belonged — or as if they have found one another after a long period of separation.

I am drawn to the intuitive work of creating harmony between elements: softening distinctions, especially along the edges, while allowing each fragment to retain its own character. Within each composition, I build subtle visual bridges that ease transitions and resolve tension, guiding the eye through moments of contrast and convergence. The process feels almost like matchmaking — discovering shared qualities among separate pieces and reconciling their differences.

Each work is constructed from my original photography, captured using a 35mm manual camera on negative film, then scanned, printed, and layered by hand with tempera and acrylic paint, colored pencil, and graphite. The resulting compositions are built to feel seamless and unified, inviting sustained observation and a sense of balance within the space they inhabit.
